Momentif Privacy Policy

What Momentif collects

Canvas connection info you enter: your Canvas school URL and Canvas API token.
Assignment and course data from Canvas: assignment names, due dates, course names/IDs, points, submission type, and related metadata needed to show your work and estimates.
Data you type in the app: custom assignment details (name, course/category, due date, estimated time), study preferences, and timer interactions.
Calendar data (only if you enable calendar access): calendar events used to find free time and optionally create study events.

Permissions Momentif uses

Calendar (full access): used to read your events for schedule analysis and to create study sessions you choose to add.

Momentif schedules local timer notifications on your device for focus sessions/breaks. These are local reminders, not analytics tracking.

How data is stored

Your Canvas API token is stored in the iOS Keychain.
App data such as settings, cached assignments, timer state, study suggestions/history, completion flags, and theme choices are stored in UserDefaults (including the app group UserDefaults used by Live Activities).

Momentif does not use Core Data, custom local files, or an on-device analytics database.

What leaves your device

Momentif sends network requests only to the Canvas domain you provide, over HTTPS, to fetch your courses and assignments using your API token in an Authorization header.

Momentif does not send your data to the developer's servers.

Third-party SDKs and sharing

Momentif does not include third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or tracking SDKs in this codebase.

Momentif does not sell your data and does not share your personal data with data brokers or advertisers.

Children's privacy

Momentif is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your choices

You can disconnect Canvas at any time in Settings.
You can disable calendar access in-app and in iOS Settings.
